The creative trade fair South By Southwest (SXSW), which takes place in Austin, Texas, is regarded as a pioneer and source of inspiration when it comes to innovation, creativity and diversity in the US music market.   

 

As Europe's largest club festival and platform for pop culture and the music industry, we were once again represented at SXSW 2024 with a one-day program.  

 

Together with Hamburg Music and Keychange - our movement for gender equality in the music industry - we welcomed you as international music industry representatives to exchange ideas at the matchmaking and reception and presented up-and-coming acts from Ireland, Scotland and Germany.

Matchmaking

March 14 from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. - East Austin Hotel

A2IM, AIM, CIMA and Reeperbahn Festival hosted an exclusive matchmaking event on 14 March from 2:30-4:30 pm in The Corner Room at the East Austin Hotel. This bespoke event offered music industry professionals the opportunity to network with potential new business partners in carefully selected 1:1 meetings.  

Reception

March 14 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Shangri-La

Wir haben uns gefreut, die Tradition unserer Hamburger Reception auf der SXSW fortzusetzen - dieses Mal waren wir am Donnerstag, 14. März von 16:00-19:00 Uhr zurück im Shangri-La. Hamburg Music, Reeperbahn Festival und Keychange haben euch eingeladen, euch mit Vertreter*innen aus der Musik- und Kreativindustrie in Hamburg und dem Rest Deutschlands zu treffen und zu vernetzen. Es gab wieder unserem berühmten Hamburger und es bot sich den Teilnehmenden die Chance, mehr über Pläne und Partnerschaftsmöglichkeiten für 2024 und darüber hinaus zu erfahren.  

Showcase

March 14 from 7:00 p.m. - Shangri-La

Ausgewählte Newcomer, frühere Gewinner*innen und Nominierte des ANCHOR - Reeperbahn Festival International Music Awards sowie Acts aus der Keychange-Initiative für Geschlechtergerechtigkeit in der Musikindustrie, waren am 14. März 2024 ab 19 Uhr live auf der Bühne im Shangri-La zu sehen. 

Als größtes Clubfestival und Plattform für die Musikindustrie in Europa, brachten wir diese aufstrebenden Acts aus Europa auf die Bühne der SXSW: 

  • 19:00-19:40 Uhr orbit (German Music Talent) 
  • 20:00-20:40 Uhr Stella Rose 
  • 21:00-21:40 Uhr VLURE* (ANCHOR Nominee) | Minimal Schlager 
  • 22:00-22:40 Uhr Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys (Keychange Participants) 
  • 23:00-23:50 Uhr Holly Macve (ANCHOR Nominee)
